Yangdu's winners for 12/10. Pix and good deals.

Nasty,
It's always nice to remember those less fortunate than yourself at the holiday season.

email sent on the Cherokee Rose if still available - had my eye on one for a while now. Kinda hope someone beat me to it though - I've got to stop checking the forum after work to see what's left, had resolved not to buy another blade for a while. Just got my antler-handled Chiruwa AK in the mail today from the sale a few days ago - I'm impressed. The usual Kumar quality on the blade but the handle is something else, just beautiful. Whoever said we need to keep sending materials for fancy handles to the kamis had it right - I think that khuk will end up being my favorite.

Dang! I was thinking the same thing about that little AK, Tom
A 12" khukuri is a great size. We call 'em little here in the cantina - everybody else calls 'em BIG HONKIN' KNIVES.
Good call, Tom :D

:( Was at the 'little used stuff store' yesterday, that I frequent periodically and know the owner. I was showing her my JKM and her helper? stated somewhat beligerently , "what do you need a knife that big for?" and showed me his little pocket knife. "This is all you need".

Irritated me, but was interrupted by the owner, saying , "thats not big, you should see some of his other knives" (I had brought in a WWII to show her, months ago).
I had a nasty comeback but with the interruption, I decided to let it go. Must be nice, unless threatened. ;)

FINALLY, someone uses my name correctly!!!!!!! :D :D :D

Thank you, thank you, thank you! ;)

Except for one of those ridiculous bolsters pushing the cho too far forward that Bura Special has the subtleties of earlier classic kukris. The grip is angled down a bit and the belly of the blade is closer to the center. He does very nice work and as a traditionalist I'm glad to see such classic lines.

I used to be a decent member of the Camillus forum. BK&T was my interest then. Never bought one, but almost did. They called their 9-inch model big. Called it a "chopper". They called it strong because it didn't break quite as easily as all the other machine-made "tactical" knives. Then I found HI. Gawd, how silly I was! :D :D :D

"That's not a knife. THIS is a knife!" :D :D :barf: :D :D

One of the greatest movie moments ever. So true.
