Indeed, a drawer full of black gets old. My modest selection doesn't hold a candle to these stunning customs (that bamboo mosiac is awesome), but to help banish the black-and-grey blahs, here we go:

Yesterday I got an orange Ladybug that needs to be added to this. OTOH, I also got a boring black LH Millie and a boring black AND grey CF Stretch II is waiting for me at the PO right now.
 
I'm pretty sure the color you're seeing on that thing are due to light refraction inside the finish marks. Kinda like the "rainbow" you see on a CD or DVD. I'm sure that steel is 100% functional.

Right. It's just CPM 154 with a hand rubbed finish. Much as I like a colorful knife, the Begg's blade is plain ol' silver.
