YAY, First Busse Finally

Mark the date when you receive it, because your life will have changed. Not much chance of stopping, you may have a chance at moderation though. Although it hasn't been seen here in a while. No regrets!

ha, i ordered one of the same BATAC, too. funny story, i actually acidentally ordered it on the wrong card, which happens to be a joint account so that my parents can see what i spend... instead of my own private account.

you know i had some explaining to do then! :D

... and i forgot to mention this will be my first Busse

Great start swimmerdude, you learn covert operations soon. You're gonna love these blades. Probably give up swimming to finance them too.:D

Yeah, bad idea to use mom's card withoug specific permission as my youngest was caught at recently....ASK FIRST

it actually wasn't my mom's card. i am in college and i have three different accounts, one of which she can see the input/output of money on.... i wasn't thinking and accidentally used that one.

i couldn't ever give up swimming, even for a busse.... ;)
i'm a D1 collegiate swimmer who has a passion for cutlery... and guns, but i only have one of those so far....

Thanks everyone, it shipped today, should have it monday. Maybe tomorrow if I'm really lucky but I doubt that.

This is a very friendly and welcoming forum over here.

Found out the seller has a sheathe for the knife coming in as well that he ordered a while ago. I'll probably just buy that from him when he gets it.

haha..about the bank accounts, I'm the only one thats sees mine thankfully. Not to mention the great thing about owning my company.....company needed a new letter opener.....or 8..haha

My gf walked in the other day when I had all my folders on my desk and was touching blades up on my sharpmaker..been with her 3 years and never explained the cost of the knives. She would flip. She thinks they are no more than like $50. If she sees the busse I'll just say I've had it for a long time packed away(I'm suppossed to be saving money of rother things of her interest)

Approval is a matter of appreciation - do not lie or hide - enlist their aid. Guys know I step up to the trough and beat you guys off for OP. My fave blades are my custom swords...I even negotiated a new construction price in Ren Faire Costume complete with hardware. Even my girlie girl likes game wardens - especially the fire warden Dad gave her for her birthday....I got the boy friends ratmandu at Balde for Chrismas. Teach to appreviate beauty. i remember watching a woman looking at Breitling watches wondering how a guy could spend several K on a watch. My comment was she would not blink at spending the money on a bracelet. She said of course not (she ws wearing some significant stuff) - so I reminded her that a watch is a guys bracelet. She bought the poor guy a watch and shut up. OP got to look in peace.

ugh..just typed up a nice long response then clicked to spell check, page reloaded and I lost everything...f'n hell.

cliff notes: My gf is just learning to appreiate all my other expensive hobbies: mountain biking, auto racing, photography, computers........ She appreciates and understands why I carry knives but doesn'[t understand why I "need" so many of them or why I have to buy such expensive ones. She is learning though that I prefer quality over quantity.

the appreciation from her comes slower than the $ from my wallet goes out. So I have to play a gentle balancing act until she is finally understanding :)

Well I've always wanted one of these blades but could never justify it. I've been buying up a solid collection of folders but finally purchased my first busse from Gary007 today. Black crinkle with black/tan handle BATAC. Cant wait for it to arrive and abuse it. I guess I can finally rightfully hang in here now and prepare to just open my wallet completely :)

Whattp AJ. You know it's all my fault for posting mine on OTN :D:D:D

Eric? BWAHAHAHAHAHA Whats up man! Figured you were over here as well. I've been wanting one for a long time. Ya your post didn't help any thats for sure.

Awesome Gary. Thanks much, cant wait to get it. Thanks for the lanyard. Let me know when you get that sheath in :D

For sure, will let you know as soon as that sheath arrives. Gotta have pants for that knife.

Congrats! That in my opinion is one of the nicer looking combos. I am sure you will enjoy it. Prepare for the INFI addiction..... it is probably more addicting than drugs ;)

Less addicting but just as expensive. Luckily the infi high lasts a lot longer

lessons learned today...in my neighborhood expect odd looks when taking out a decent sized folder(SG2 Blur) to open a box at your mailbox location and then pull a much larger knife out of it. Next time must remember to wait till I get home or at least back to the truck.

I got home and never even made it in the house. broke down some boxes to fit them in the trash cans, trimmed up a small palm tree, chopped down a few limes from the lime tree and sliced one up, chopped random things and half way through a 2x4 just to try it.

How can you possibly buy these and not use them...It's better in hand than I expected and begs to be abused, the handle and size is excellent....

..how hard is it to get a small ding out of the blade that might be cause by an accidental drop resulting in the edge contacting the corner of a brick? oops.....

The more I've looked at them online the more I thought I would want all satin blades but I really like this black coating now that I have it. Its not as rough as I thought and still slices pretty damn well. I LOVE the color combo, I'm gonna have to buy either a pumpkin or a blue/black, or this same one next(my 3 favs).

any concerns for acidic citrus fruit juices on the blade?

Thanks again to Gary for making it a super easy transaction and throwing in the lanyard
