Well they've cut our hours back at the plant to 32 or so per week, wife just got fired from the mortage company and I'm sick and can't work this week. :barf:

Ah well I'm going to try to get her to sell catering for my brother's restaurant (no there's no opening for other employees) and trying to teach her lifecasting so maybe I can get that business opened.

Ah well, life goes on... slowly I reckon.

Hang tough brother......best of luck to all in these times.

Sorry for the tough times Will!!!
I'm sure it'll get better!!!!
What is life casting?

Life casting is used to make casts of body parts, it's how they make a lot of special effects masks and prosthetics.

I use alginate which forms a semi-rigid mold then use high grade gypsum to make the final cast. You can get incredible details. I usually finish off with a faux metal finish. For Christmas I made the inlaws casts of all the grandchildren's hands as if they were praying. I mounted these on a small picket fence looking thing and stenciled "Thank God for Grandparents" on it. While most of the business I'd expect to do is baby hands and feet there are obviously more complex castings possible. It's not that complicated and if you can make pancakes from pancake mix you should be able to do this.

If you want to know more drop me a line. If you're in the same kind of boat like my family, I'll do what I can to share the info on how to start this.
