Yea definitely EDC!

Nice.... for a second there I thought that only the high contrast (carbon) damascus only had that high gleen / very contrasty pattern. Because from the pictures on some of the online dealers the damascus looked very... dull and greyish... not black and silver like yours does. When you hold the damascus in your hand is it much more impressive looking then any of the pictures you have seen online. I hear this is the case because of the way the light strikes the blade in person. I am excited... it should be here in the mail tomorrow arriving with the umnumzaan...

It is the SS Damascus. And thank god for that, I don't want to be wiping down my knife or using RIG every-time I handle it. I want to be able to use my knife and put it back it in my pocket and go on with my day.

I am, that was an old book from school that I broke out for a black background. If only scalpels looked as good as Sebenza's;0

did I read this wrong or did you say that scalpels can be more expensive then sebenzas ?

If so, are their specific models made for a specific task that is so expensive? Or are you just talking about they take their toll over time of using one then disposing of it, using another one, etc... Do they come in Devin Thomas Damascus steel :D

Nope a castroviejo can be expensive. Not sure how damascus would hold up to continuos sterilizing but my guess would be that would not last to many cycles;) Sure would be pretty though.

I just got my stainless raindrop damascus and am loving it. But.. your sebenza does seem to be more glossy, or have much more contrast then my knife does. Here are some pics to compare the 2. Does anyone know why this is? Is there 2 versions of stainless damascuss, or do they put more work into the super nice sebenzas like yours? I see a distinct difference. Yours seems to be black and silver, mine seems to be grey and silver.. does the darker part of you damascus look black in person as it does in the picture, or is it a grey like the handle? Mine is a grey, the exact same color as the handle. I have included another picture of someone elses sebenza too. His also has a high gloss black/silver finish???? Anyone know why?

Edit: Also, like in this guys video, his stainless raindrop sebenza has a high, sheen/gloss to it. Mine certainly does not reflect light like that. It is more dull. Does anyone know if they do a higher polish on the nicer sebenzas?
