Yeah I'm rolling down Rodeo with a snark gun.

Sweet. My Rapdom bag came today and I can't wait to start loading it with gear. Picked up a camelbak water bottle holder from bass pro and attached it to the side, have my BK4 attached to the other side, my Mora Bushcraft Black and Kershaw Scrambler strapped to the front of it, and Columbia rainjacket stuffed inside. I am going to try and fully load it up tomorrow and atart snapping pics. I really like this bag so far and can't wait to take it out on what little bit of a hike I can manage in this walking boot.

I love getting new gear. It fills me with such utter joy.

Watched the new Adam Sandler movie "Blended"

It was pretty good. The wife called it "cute" but i thought it was funny LOL

Jets are cool. Full screen it, and crank up the volume.

So, I cooked again... surprise surprise eh? But in the infamous words of Mario... Here we go!

Start with an 8.5 hour pork roast in the crock pot. With an onion, 2 fresh jalepeños, a half bottle of white wine, and various spices.

When it's done cooking cut three slices of bacon into 1/2 inch pieces. Cook it off in a pan, when MOSTLY rendered remove bacon from the fat and place into a deep pot for beans.

In the pan with the bacon fat add in a cup (and a half if you're a fat guy like me) with some of the onion.

Then add in a cup(ish) of rice (yes I like the rice INSIDE my tacos.)
IMG_20140611_224856.jpg

Add the beans to the bottom of the tortillas, then the pork/onion/rice mixture on top of that, with green onion/cilantro and queso on top (with a little sriaccha)

Nice. I might have to ask you questions once I get space to set up mine. I've got a full setup, but nowhere to put it at the moment.

I've got space but no equipment, you've got equipment with no space. You should give me your equipment! :D

Picked this up at Blade and wanted to show a comparison.

One of these is $160 and the other is $25.

Nice leather sheaths and hickory handles, check.

I had to thin it out some and regrind it but for twenty-five bucks it's pretty awesome. Condor has it going on these days.

Condor is pretty good. Their website shows a greenland pattern axe with a longer handle that was previously only a Pathfinder school exclusive so I'm hoping that'll be a new production model.

Good luck with the consumables. Powders, especially pistol powders, are in very short supply. Buy what you can when (if) you see it.

Well that's a fine how-do-you-do...

There was a firetruck with a jet engine at our local dirt track quite a few years ago. The noise and heat levels 100+ yards away was insane. They burned up a couple junk cars with it. Definitely something I'd suggest trying to see in person.

Found a video of the actual event I was a on YouTube. I have no idea how to make the video show up, but here's a link.

Things are good here. Been up since 5. Second cup of coffee. Got a couple of meeting scheduled for later today.
How are things on your end?
