It's yet another BK16 FPR thread, but what else is new? I don't have any action pics for it as of yet, but they will come in time.

All of these pics are with my bigger baby, the 2.

I would also appreciate if you guys could help me in naming them!

Edit: I would prefer female names for the knives.

well, the BK2 is the BeastK and the BK9 is the BKing

No ideas other then those LOL

of course I guess u meant personal names like ''John'' and ''David'' LOL no help here, I never name my stuff...hell I've had animals I barely bothered to name ;)

Wow, that amount of steel on my belt and I would have to keep picking my jeans up from around my ankles !! :D

Bonnie and Clyde
Rocky and Rambo

Beckerhead #32

How about

Saggy pants and Sore hips.

:D

That's alot of metal.

Hell yeah.

Moose

It's not that much, and the only place my belt started sagging was where I strapped the 2 on, now imagine if I didn't put a leg strap on it? Believe it or not, the leg strap takes a lot of weight off my belt.

I should also have made it known that I want female names for them, the same way you would name a car or a boat. And I'm thinking about striping and patinaing the names on the backside of each knife, so nothing super long until I get a 9.

what is it about naming inanimate objects that seems to fascinate people? LOL

I know guys on my Mosin Nagant forum that have long-a** Russian names for each and every one of their rifles...and some have a LOT of Mosins!

oh well, whatever floats your boat I reckon... more power to ya. ;)

the only female name I can think of for the bk2 is Bertha...cuz that is the most UN-feminine blade I can think of!

Ok, what do you guys think about these names, Helga(2) and Angie(16)?

I don't think you have enough paracord on that 2 sheath.

I know, I need to buy some more, the only piece I have left is about 40' of ACU, and that's neither mil spec nor black, so I'm just waiting for more money, which for me is a long wait, but it'll come, hopefully before a new sheath, but if not, oh well.

Sorry, I am new to Becker knives, what do the letters 'FPR' stand for? Thanks.

Added Action pictures, very disappointed with the finish that I want to strip, I could probably lick it off, while I was taking the action shots an entire chunk fell off...

LOL toldja! Mine stripped in a record 6 minutes in the chemical bath! Nowhere near as sturdy coating as was on rest of my Beckers.

I didn't use any chemicals, it was just batoning through an old 1X4, nothing really abusive or even overly abrasive. My BK2 has marks where sap from untreated wood that I batonned, and very little coating missing, but that's hard to scrape off.

On a side note, I did find that it's not to terribly hard to remove the coating of my 2 on the flats with another knife running at an angle just enough to bite in.
