year on buck 119

I need some help in identifying what year and type of steel used for both of these 119s. Thank you Mike

Well, I think they're from before 1986, when Buck started the year symbol tang stamp. A specific year may be hard to pin down.

I'm speculating here, but the steel might be one of the 440 types. (?)

Takao, Your 119's were made sometime from late 1972-1985. Yes, there blades are probably of 440C. Hope this helps. DM
