Yellow Case Knives Make Me Happy...

slimline trapper (thanks, Tom)
I assume you mean some other Tom

I sent you a yellow Colonial Ranger “Chiquita Banana” advertising knife (I think):

This is my only one but it's easily one of my favorite knives. Gets carried a ton. Fun to fiddle with, fun to use, fun to sharpen. Realistically it's the only folder I'd ever need but what's the fun in that? Compared to other synthetics, especially with the thickness of the Sodbuster handle, the Delrin is so buttery smooth.

You're right on both counts, Tom. 🤓
The yellow Case slimline trapper came from a different Tom Whetstone39 Whetstone39 .
And you did indeed send me that cheerful Chiquita Banana Colonial Ranger (among many other knives)!
(Seeing that fine knife got me wondering when my rotation schedule would assign me to carry it again. I discovered, to my surprise and dismay, that the Ranger, a couple of excellent Imperials, and an Ideal that you sent me about the time I was putting the finishing touches on the schedule I was putting together to start using at the start of 2023 never made it into that schedule, although some "foreign" knives you sent me at the same time did get scheduled in the "international" category! o_O:rolleyes: Looks like I have some schedule revisions to work on tomorrow!)

Only have two CASE Yellow D which is a disgrace, been needing a Stockman in it for ages. Only handy picture is of a cv Penknife (excuse the French interlocutor ..) very snappy model and I much prefer these to the Peanut which I've never really taken to despite its merits.

Makes two of us!! 😆 Since we're required to own a yellow Case (I read that somewhere in the knife collector rule book), I think I'll go with a large stockman in CV. How about you? 😂
I just checked at that knife store over in the hazy mountains.... they have these in stock..... I'm very tempted. The **47 stockmans are my favorite, other than the sowbelly...
they also have the **75's

When I read that Case was stopping production on the single blade CV yellow sowbelly I had to order one! And, of course, I had to add a CV yellow muskrat to my small muskrat collection. I love how slim and smooth the yellow Delrin covers are. (Both of these have since acquired a nice patina.)
OOPS, almost forgot my SS yellow tribal lock and SS yellow trapper! (Being larger knives I don't carry them very often.) I had an SS yellow slimline trapper, but lost it somewhere.
