Yellow composite handles. Are they common?

I was fortunate to find a mint Buck 307 with a yellow composite handle. I have never seen the yellow handles before. I have seen tons of the black ones. Are these common? Were they just on the 300 series or just selected models.

Thanks. Great knives by the way. I just love them!

Greg,

I don't know how many of the yellow composite handles were made, but they were made for Smoky Mountain Knifeworks. I am almost certain that the yellow handles were only in the 300 series. There are red composite handled 300 series knives also.

Hi John,
Thanks for the info. They are really neat knives. Kind of special since you don't see them that much.
I hope you are well.

Greg,
The 'puter tells me that we made about 1000 of them in 1995. That is a relatively small amount when you consider how many black handled 307s are out there.
Nice find!
