Yellow Delrin

hey, this is my first ever post, tho I've a member for a while. Where in the world can I get some yellow Delrin like Case uses? I have 3 or 4 old Cases that I need to rehandle and the pattern number calls for delrin.

Ha! Yeah... Dupont... Good luck getting less than a gaylord of anything from them.

Sheffield supply has a good selection of colored polyesters. It isn't POM, but it may be your best bet. Better in some ways.

Try Professional Plastics they can be found on the web. Call and ask if they have some Rems.

Dupont may not supply small quantities, but they may have companies they sell to that they can recommend.

Sorry Keith, I didn't mean to sound like a smart ass. I have tried to buy small quantities of their specialty materials and found it frustrating. Distributors and reps don't get real excited about small one time purchases. Hell, DuPont doesn't get real excited about six figure purchases. Try to buy Vespel from them...

One possible avenue might be to request a color/texture chip of somebody's extrusion grade material. They make these from drops, so it is no skin off their nose. But if you let on what you're doing you'll probably not get a lot of cooperation. I wouldn't fool with it because of the frustration factor.

If somebody wants black Delrin or acrylic, I have tons of it in my shop from time to time and will gladly give away drops for nothing...
