I've always liked Native American objects, and am fascinated by the history as well..
I've seen quite a few pictures of Yellowhorse knives, and others that are similar, but have never owned one, or even seen one in person.

While some of them are a little "busier" than I prefer, there are a lot of them that really catch my eye.

If you have any, I would really like to see your pictures...

Thanks

Mike

I don't have a lot of them, but here they are.

Here I am with David the day I bought my first one.

Thanks Dave. Those are outstanding

I'm still not really awake yet, so it took me a few seconds, to figure out what the artwork on the 532 was of. I like it. I don't recall seeing another one with similar work on it, but then again, I haven't seen that many.

I'm really liking the 4 dot 112 too

Thank you, I like them and I really enjoyed meeting David. The 532 is called "Navajo Land" and looks to me like a stylized depiction of a desert landscape with a mesa in the back ground.

The 112 with the nickle silver bolsters is a Brian Yellowhorse job and I really like it too. I don't much like his newer work but that one is more along the lines of what his Father does.

I only have 1 Yellowhorse. It is a very simple and mass produced knife called Wolf Valley. I got it at SMKW this summer during the BCCI rendezvous. I kind of had a personal reason for getting it.

That's nice though. I have this one also, but didn't show it before because it's not really what folks think of when you mention a Yellowhorse knife.

I wonder what adhesive Yellowhorse uses for the handle inlays? I've never seen one of his knives where the inlays have become loose or separated from the knife.

That is really neat that you got to meet him, and have your picture taken with him. Thats a great keepsake to go along with your knives

Those are really different than the ones we are use to seeing, but I still like it.
Very subtle.

Thanks Earl. Thats very cool

So far everyone is talking about David Yellowhorse knives. Who is Brian Yellowhorse who also makes this style knife -- David's son or brother?

Brian is one of his sons. I'm pretty sure that he has another one also that does some work on knives.

Brian seems to have developed his own style from what I see of his newer work. I don't like it as much but that's just me perhaps.

GOOD GAWD, EVIL EYE!!!!

That is one absolutely stunningly beautiful 124.
