...Shank's scale didn't break from impact, I stuck it, and then threw the Sarge. I actually hit the Shank with the Sarge, and the picture is the result. It sliced it cleanly until it hit the pin, and then broke off.

I can see how that might be a bit hard on a handle--even canvas micarta.

I love it, only on this forum does someone get congrats for throwing and buggering their knives!

I'll definitely go the multiple targets route from now on, but who woulda thought I would hit the same spot from six yards?!

Anyway, a little super glue overnight and some wood putty to fill the small void left by some missing micarta, and she's good as new. And now with a cool story to follow her along...

But really, no one is going to jump on the OP for throwing a hardened blade?? Doesn't he know that his knives will spontaneously fracture into pieces from such abuse??? This type of thing wouldn't be tolerated, much less praised, in a more respectable company's forum! Why is no one insulting the OP? Why no denigrating epithets???

I have a one Busse per target rule! I have had this happen too many times with other blades and hawks!

The PS is a great throwing knife...I have 5 or 6 I take out and throw.
They mostly stick about 90% of the time.
