Yep! I love this time of year in the NW.

We've had a lot of illness up in these parts lately, but we decided to get out a little in the fresh air. Took the kids to the in-laws farm for pumpkins and then some local hiking. I just thought I'd post some pics and share some nice days with ya'll.

Trying to get my little ones to learn some plant ID and quietness is a real challenge.

The kids learned quite a bit about tree and some plant ID today. I have been working on this mostly because my son shows too much interest in mushrooms and berries.

It is a great time of year...my parents live just south of you (Grapeview) with a big'ol garden that my dad keeps bugging me about bring the kids up to help harvest. I miss all the "green"! Good looking kids and it looks like you had a great time, thanks for sharing and I hope the clean air helps with getting over the "crud",

My best friend lives in Grapeview. I'm remodelling his families basement on the weekends lately and it's a great area. The clean air is already making us feel better. You stay safe my friend!

great shots.

where did you happen to find a spot out of the wind. I was fishing over on Bay Street and having trouble casting buzz-bombs the winds were so strong.

Just North of you in Port Orchard/Long Lake Valley. It really started to blow right after we got home though. What were you after, Silvers still running?

Silvers are active at Yukon Harbor, and by the Bank in Old town Port Orchard. I even saw one fella fishing over at Toys in Gorst tonight. Fish jumping all over for the last few days. Hopefully get to smoke salmon soon.

There are some Chanterelles showing up in the Banner Forest

Tis is my favorite time of year up here as well. I went out scouting with a couple of friends today and saw over a hundred turkey, a hundred deer, and a beautiful 6X6 elk. Of course, they were all in areas where we couldn't hunt!!! :o
