i know the style is not a big one in here but thought i would post it any how

its cartec XHP blade steel hand sanded to 600 grit
the handle has a bolster of SS that was hammer finished for a bit of texture then a backer of African black wood and a SS spacer then to be finished with two toned amboyna burl and a SS pin

Kinda nakiri'ish. The handle is just awesome. How thin is it?

I like it, too. I wish we would get more custom kitchen knives posted here.

One question. The distal end of the cutting edge of the blade seems to have some kind of pronounced taper to where it meets the straight "perpendicular" surface at the far end of the blade. Otherwise it would look like a conventional cleaver. Is there some reason for this? TIA!

Just a kitchen knife. Yeah right!

I'd hate to have it in my kitchen. It'd never see any work, it's too good looking.

while they look nice the best part is finding out jsut how nice it is top cut up kitchen work with ease (doesnt hurt that it might be the one knife that you can get custom and use nearly every day )
