Yet Another New GEC Pattern

Wow, this one looks awesome. I've always loved pen and half whittlers, but the problem has been that the ones I have don't feel quite as sturdy as I would like. I'm sure this won't be a problem with the GEC.

I like that one. A coping secondary like others mentioned would be cool but I could live with the pen blade.

I've never had an ebony handled knife and have lately been thinking I'd like to start carrying a pen knife, so I just scratched two itches at once and pre-ordered one of these. This is close enough to a pen knife for me, with a little twist to make it interesting! ;)

I like the looks of it so far. Interested to see what other handle materials they'll have. Anyone know if it has a single backspring?

well damn, this looks like my perfect knife, now if only i had a job XD lol. I hope they bring them out in stag, that would be really nice, or pearl too if you wanted a gentleman/gentlelady's knife.

Pictures of the next 4 are up. I guess we'll have to wait for next week for the Northfields.

I have been hoping for a GEC with a bail for a long time. This Northfield 33 is a must-have for me. I am thinking cranberry perylic, and a kauri wood. :D

I'm not sure exactly how I feel about the bail either. Then again, I don't have any knives with one so I guess I can try it out with one of these.

I don't know if I'd want the bail personally, but I think they're going with the flow on the "Conductor" theme - it'd be nice to have it stuffed in a watch pocket on a vest and hanging from a chain. And I wonder if it's practice for their potential entry into the 2011 forum knife foray.

I love the bail, personally. There were plenty of sub-3-1/2" knives with bails that were intended to be used as watch fobs.

I'll probably attach a short chain to mine with a small clasp or hook on the end. Attach the fitting to a belt loop or waistband and the knife will float at the top of a front pocket (I dislike a knife lying horizontally at the bottom of my pocket :grumpy:).

I read on the TSA blog that the bail sports a tiny "Northfield" stamp across the top.
