I have narrowed it down to two forges, the Diamondback one burner gas forge OR the Whitlox forge. I do not want to make my own, Ive neither the time nor the patience and especially lack the know how to do such things. I figure the Diamondback would work in my small space but the Whitlox would allow me to do some actual forging if I chose to do so. 99% of the time it'll be used for heat treating. Ive been stocking up on 1084 for my steel, nothing that requires difficult HT. At some point I wanna get an Evenheat but for now one of these will have to do. NO TIME TO MAKE MY OWN. Any time I have free is learning how to grind. I bought an Esteem grinder after reading about it on this site and have been pleased with my results. I have a drill press, a 4x36" belt sander with disk attached, plenty of files, drills, etc. If you had to choose a forge to buy in these price ranges which would you get, or what other IN THESE PRICE RANGES should I look at. Appreciated, Phil

You guys been talkin to my wife?!? Speaking of wife, I'm justifying this purchase based on the expert and knowledgable members here. I show some of the beautiful knives made here and I can say, "see, these guys are pros and they recommend -x- or -y- forge. But it only goes so far. This is near as pricey as my fly fish addiction. Anyone else?

I like my majestic for the price. The deluxe one with the two adjustable burners is what I have. And the adjustable burners are way nice for heat treating. It lets you get a more controllable burn. It was recommended to me by Michael presnell who stands by his as well. They are well built and a good size. They claim to be able to forge weld, and I'm 100% sure it can. I just havnt done it yet.
