Spare time is spent with family, including a dog who needs to be brought outside frequently. A lot of reading abd walking outdoors. Very generous of you to contribute the small, useful peanuts.

Here is my idea of a prefect fall afternoon in the Wisconsin coulee country. It's where I ride when I can't get out to South Dakota or Mexico, or Utah, or Arkansas.

If I'm not riding motorbikes, I may be on one of my English 3-speeds, or trying to put my hands on a CZ82 to fill a gap in my modest array of Czech pistols, or enjoying the company of my grandson or my unruly pair of toy Australian shepherds. Or, not least, trying to find the peanut that really speaks to me. It will be in CV; it may be yellow delrin or it just might be chestnut bone, so please count me in.

I am in, thank you for the opportunity.

My main hobby (rivaling even my knife interests) is that I am a 5th generation maple syrup producer. Some of my earliest memories are helping my dad and grandfather gather maple sap, and boil it down to syrup. My birthday is in March, and so nearly every year I spent my birthday out in the woods with family, or throwing wood into the evaporator. We do everything the old fashioned way, collecting with 700 buckets on the trees, gathering them by hand and dumping them into a tank pulled behind a tractor, and boiling it down in the sugarhouse. The other 11 months of the year involve getting 20 cords of wood ready to go, cleaning, repairing, etc. Some of the trees we are tapping are trees that my great-great-grandfather planted back in the late 1800's. My daughter is now old enough to start helping out a little, so she is the 6th generation in my family to help out. It is a lot of work, we make very little money (if any), but it's a tradition and we can't quit now!

I'm in, don't have a peanut yet. My hobbies are hiking, photography, and bread baking. Here's a picture of some recent baking.

Not an entry, since I recently bought a Case chestnut jigged bone CV peanut:

Great knife, and fantastic GAW, Erik!:cool::thumbup: The lucky winner will be very pleased with your Peanut!

One of the things I LIKE to do, and also HAVE to do more and more as I get more geriatric, is try to stay in decent physical shape. I try to get to my school's fitness center after work 2 or 3 times a week for an hour of strength training, and I still enjoy an hour of basketball at lunch time twice a week. I'm the oldest player in our faculty/staff basketball group now, but I don't usually embarrass myself even when I have to sometimes match up with guys in their 20s. But being the oldest, I figure every day I can play is now a bonus (and could be my last ). No photos on the court or the with the weight machines, but I play church slo-pitch softball in the summer, and here's a team photo from July.

I'll bite! I have also been admiring the peanut from a far. All this year I have been carrying a small knife during the week but I don't have a peanut, which is the classic small knife.

And because I am stuck in the office all week, the outdoors call me every chance I get. Most recent backpacking trip below...

Send me a pm with your info and I'll try to get it out early this week.
Thank you all for entering and for making this place such a wonderful community!

Congratulations rishma! Happy Thanksgiving everyone and thanks SSS for the gaw
