...yet, another recommendation thread...

brief summary, I managed to secure enough Benchmade Adamas in Cru-Wear for my team. Even though I chose to move to another area, seems like my former supervisor warmed up to the idea of a fixed blade for field work and added a Buck Selkirk to the supplies "wishlist", so it is a nod in the right direction. I will try to make it happen in my new unit, too, going for Crooked River and a Ruike Jager TO SUBMIT.
 
I keep a gerber strong arm on my boat and its been great. I think for the price you get a pretty robust knife, with a fantastic sheath system.

Ive used it for plenty of things and its held up great. I wouldnt be “under-knifed” with it. I bought it to have a beater knife/e-tool combo on my duck hunting/river boat. The first time I decided to set up a camp on an island I got it out and made a fire with it. I was pleasantly surprised at its performance.
 
I convinced the person in charge of supplies at my former port to get some Strongarms, and they only bought 4, 2 went to supervisors, one for the supplier and one for me - would rather get enough to put in the hands of the people doing field duty, oh well... Great knife, just a bit too thick for what we do, but very good knife and sheath system nevertheless. I will add it to the list sent to supervisors to consider.
