Yet another Walrus Dogbone with a Paul Long Sheath

Each of these has made my heart skip a few beats--just breathtaking. That damascus and the ivory step this one up even a few notches more, and I love the elegantly simple Spanish notch. Wowza.

John John John (insert head shake here)

When are you going to buy some decent looking ivory and build yourself a fancy knife, you have so much potential after all.

If you were not one of my favourite people on the planet your skills would be almost irritating.

Love everything about it and look forward to seeing the next as always.

Cheers mate

Who let the dogs out?? John White, that's who!

Just a superb dogbone, John. I love the ivory and Damascus a lot. That seems to follow a pattern that has been a joy to see over the years. One amazing dogbone after another. Keep it up!

John that is amazing and pushes the right buttons.

Manuel,

I added a couple of photos, including this one of the Damascus.

It's a simple "W" modified Turkish Twist; three layers of low count "flat" with two layers of "W", brought down to square bar, twisted, and 4-barred.

John

Thanks for the extra pictures John!
That is a great looking pattern

Psychedelic steel pattern there John! Another home run dogbone with some KILLER walrus...I have to agree, you set the standard for these bad boys!

Thanks guys.

Just for the heck of it, I'll post the really fun parts of making these things;

from this..( here's the lay-up, Manual)

to this...

This'll warm your heart on a hot 'n humid June day in Florida.

Now there's a knife that would do any collection proud! Beautiful job John and Paul.

Why stop at America? We Europeans like beautiful knives too! ;)

Beatiful "Dogbone", very nice ivory, nice damascus. Oh- and the sheath is great too!

Kind regards,

Jos

Great job John! I really like the dog bone style, everything flows very well together with all the different materials used.
