well, now i can say it.

i won't.

you'll have to find the post :D

also, google "wallace decoy line" :D

#18 and #36 just showed up in my mail

I knew I liked you Qeth

I'm likable like that :D

Interesting to see someone actually attempt a replica from this series of books. Truth be told, I had to stop reading the WOT series.......I got tried of all the drama with no action, no results, no forward movement.......it just won't fracking end!!

Now the Belgariad and Mallorean Series.......I would love to see some replicas from that!!!

I stalled on book 9 or 10, I picked up (but haven't read) anything post Sanderson. Books 8 onwards were almost a chore.

As for the Belgariad/ Mallorean series, get a great sword and get a big old glowing pommel and call it a day. For added oomph, coat the blade in flammable oil that gives off a blue flame :D

I use Catahoula Manufacturing tarred twine. It's the best I have ever found. Tried all kinds too. I grew up using the Catahoula stuff for all our alligator lines, duck decoys, trot lines, catfish lines, and anything that needed cordage. It's made in Louisiana, my home state.

This twine seems great! Smaller than ParaCord and much tougher than waxed thread. Perfect for EDC (I always have at least 10' of cord on me of some sort).

I had a few missed calls from a Tennessee area code today are one of you southern Beckerheads prank calling me? Haha just teasing. I really should get my voice mail figured out on my phone, It hasn't worked since I got it and that has been almost a year now.

Hopefully all of you guys are doing fine with the recent bout of bad weather. We are getting hit pretty hard here (north of Syracuse NY). The power hasn't gone out yet but cell phone reception has been extremely spotty.

We have a decent snow drift going right off the front porch. That lamp post is probably six feet tall and the drift if almost just as tall as it. Try to keep warm everyone!

Careful out there Nsven! Hope you don't have a dog to walk or anything! Or if you do, hopefully it's a horse!

Now i really wanna try some of the milk chocolate Scho-Ka-Kola... Just heard about it, sounds YUMMY.

I would hold out for a TJ

I respectfully disagree with psyop 710. I have a TJ now and for the money my old beater YJ was a better vehicle. It most likely has the indestuctable straight 6 in it. Heres what I would do, looks like hes got a lot of $$$ worth of extras. Call him up and offer him $4000. - $4500. he"ll probably say no, but nobody else is going to buy it at $6500. because no bank in the world would loan that for it. Lets face it. not a lot of us common Joes have $6500. laying around. once he figures that out. I just about garauntee he"ll call you back and accept your offer. I think its a cool ride!

Oh no its time for the Jeep smack down :) real Jeeps have round headlights. No for real the coil spring suspension rides way better and articulates much more. My TJ is a 97 and it has the 4.0 straight six. KBB says a 97 TJ in good shape is $4500 now Jeeps do run high but you can get a TJ for 4-6k Of course I am still jealous of Murphs 06 Rubicon thats sort of the pinnacle of the Wranglers.

The 06 had a great suspension and fantastic 6-speed transmission. Too bad about all the front end problems.

There were a ton of issues in Murph's case with the driver as well.

I have a 06. Drive it every day. It just seems to have issues. Granted, not major issues, but not issues a vehicle should have for the price they go for.

Here's the 93 YJ I had that I didn't owe a penny on. I had a 350 c.i. chevy in it. Never had a single problem with it after I rebuilt the tranny. The biggest issue I had was it was only a 4 speed and it had 4:10 gears in it. About 55 mph was all it wanted, but it was unstoppable in mud or snow.

Aside from the wranglers, the best jeep for the money in my opinion is the XJ. Sure, the tops don't come off but the best bang for the buck by far. I had a 96. Best vehicle I ever owned. Had 176k on it and drove like brand new. I would still be driving it if a deer hadn't rearranged the whole front end at 70 mph.

I agree with Todd here. That's exactly what I did with mine about 9 years ago. He was wanting to sell, he was asking Y amount, I offered him X amount on the spot.... A short time later I was unbolting the hard top to load in Dad's truck and we were making the trip home.

I wish that were true around here. It seems like YJ's are the only thing you can get for less than $7K.

Come to think of it though, I have had a good opportunity or two to pick up a few TJs. I know one of them is still floating around. It's a 98 with fairly low miles, but at the time my YJ's drive train was newer and the TJ is an auto so I opted to keep the YJ. Now, I'd still keep the YJ for any real Jeeping needs, but I would be very tempted to pick up the cushy little TJ as a DD and ditch my pickup.

man I know it's 6500.00 for that price it's not worth it, I always wanted a jeep, I would say that thing is worth 2000.00 tops needs a lot of work inside and looks like i would need to put some mud flaps on it to be street legal here in CA. the only thing nice about it is the paint job. This seems like a kit jeep, stripe down and rebuild... he will probably laugh when I ask him if he'll take 2G's in Washingtons. fat stack boyee!
