Yo Dan (koster) Did you ever find a MArtial art you liked?

nice one, Bruise....:D

ddean - I'll check into it.

Danny - what more can you tell me about bujinkan? any good links?

(The following is my own, personal, solicited opinion.)

I love the Bujinkan. I left my home, friends, job and family to come here and study at the main dojo of the Bujinkan.

You may hear all kinds of things on the internet, but in real life, even teachers at other MA schools respect and revere Hatsumi Sensei.

I guess the single biggest reason I joined was their ability to say that all weapons were the same - and proved it. Thus, it was a true, whole martial art. If you join the Bujinkan you will never need to study any other martial art to learn any other weapon or kind of specific situation. What they teach you will work anywhere and your training will allow you to use any weapon.

Here is a good link about Sensei.

Could we call ye an advocate of the Bujinkan then, Danny?;)

Hey, Danny speak no lie--and the Bujinkan can be found all across the state, even here in Indianapoolis. I went and czeched it out, very low impact, natural, elegantly simple, conservation of motion, etc. And diverse. Field trips, shooting, etc.

I was coming along to the "All weapons are the same" thing about the time I met up with DIJ here in the ether, and he nailed it home with a few samples of this thinking. It is a sort of enlightenment, I think.

My wife sometimes practices an art we've dubbed "stupido" -- the art of confusing a person with feigned and aggressive stupidity. THe skill of density, when applied in certain contexts, can difuse a situation and leave the person(s) scratching their heads, as if they are baffled at a practitioners utter inability to even comprehend the framework which we call would "objectively" label reality.

Well, there's "Libido", the ancient Medeterranean and modern Latino Martial art of yelling "You talkin ta me?!??!" and posturing, while avoiding physical contact almost entirely.;):D:D:D

I hear tell of an ancient MA from the holy land, most destructive, call "Meggido..."
