This is a very cool, unconventional yoga dvd for people who suffer from various back hip or shoulder ailments. Unlike many (or most) yoga dvds out there, this one has very little New Age crap, outside of a few relaxing shots of Hawaii and some guitar music.
The instructor has over 30 years experience with dance, massage as well as various forms of yoga. This dvd is not strictly how to do poses.. Rather, she teaches the muscle control and motion behind the poses. Also, she is not afraid to have you adjust the pose somewhat for your bodytype and range limitations, a good thing IMO.
This DVD is also big on stabilizing joints, something I think is both very important and often overlooked for the sake of getting a deeper stretch with other practioners.
This is a sensible, health-promoting dvd that you will actually use.
