Yojimbo 2 sprint?

Sal,

We need a new Yojimbo 2 sprint.

I have the S90V steel version and I was around to watch it sit in inventory for months and months before finally selling out. Would this provide discouragement to releasing a new version?

There are so many options, no doubt a lot of responses will have material wish lists for blade steel and G10 colors.

I don't particularly care what it's done in, but can we get another? I honestly think it will sell faster this time...

I would like one. I bought 5 of the CF/S90V model and EDC a Yo 2 many days. I would like to see one in a tougher steel, or even perhaps a blurple in S110V. I would love a green G10/ Elmax, although I know some aren't a fan of the steel.

Many people on the Spyderco forum (myself included) have been asking for this for some time. There seems to be a lot of interest in an S110V version and a DLC version. The S110V version with blurple g10 would be pretty close to Mike Janich's original hope for a blue Yojimbo to match jeans.

I'd like to see a tan g10 version with a high corrosion resistant steel.

The Yo2 is a beaut and I like it.

....but Im a huge fan of the PPT and have a few of that one. Everything Spyderco-Perrin is a match made in heaven!!

Pls sell me on the Yo2 - how can I justify buying a Yo2, when I have a mess of PPTs.

BladeScout... you can get one without exerting a lot of time or money and if you carry it for a couple of weeks you will know for yourself whether it is worth keeping or not.

I waited years to get one, I hated the look and thought other options were better for my purposes. But I was wrong.

While we are at it, I wouldn't mind a FFG version, similar to what they did with changing the hollow grind Manix 2 blade to FFG.

Yes and I have looked at them on the sales forum here - for some reason, there was quite a few consecutive Yo2 for sale a little while ago (and another one will no doubt come round the pike ASAP). Further more the price is hard to argue with.

I might have to give the Yo2 a shot.

But then with me its usually a ripple effect and Ill then have to get the fixed blade version as well:D - when I got my first Spyderco Perrin, that was how it was and look at me now several PPTs, a couple of Street Beats, and two Street Bowies later and dreaming of a Perrin handmade knife as well, SIGH:D

Dang it, Spyderco!!!

FFG looks pretty good. Though it might be to much of a departure from Janich's tactical design.

Is s110v a tougher steel than s90v?

I would LOVE a new sprint Yo2 !!!

Blurple or foliage green G10 is nice. A Ti handle with framelock would really excite me though.

M390 or S110V or maybe a high-end Carpenter steel.

I hope this comes to fruition. I would buy numerous duplicates (like I always do).

I'd like to see a DLC coated blade to reduce the eye catching factor for those who use it as a EDC. Also, given the very thin point a high toughness steel would be great, maybe CTS XHP?
