I just saw Janich demo'ing this one at the SHOT Show...... is it too early to get excited?

Compression lock, hollow grind, wicked ass wharnie blade......

Come to Papa!!!! :D

This is actually one of my most anticipated knives for the year. Even though it's not very big, it looks quite capable, and the handle should be pretty dreamy (comfortable).

Saw the video, very excited about it. This might be the first time that I buy 2 of the same model, EVER. Can't wait for it!

I would definitely buy it. Wishlist would be:

- Stonewashed CTS-XHP blade;
- titanium framelock in lieu of compression lock;
- grey G10 in lieu of black G10.

but I would take it the way the prototype appears. the clip should be improved though, I'd like to see a deep carry clip on an SD looking knife.

Dude, you're a beaut. Always the dreamer huh? :D

I dont get deep carry clips on SD knives. Me I want something sticking out so I can glom onto it real easy.

Found the vid if anyone hasn't seen it yet:

Looks sweet!

I prefer a deep-pocket clip and tip down carry myself, but this looks to be even better than the orginal Yojimbo. Can't wait to see more details about it. I think Spyderco needs more knives like the Yojimbo, Lil'Temp, Native 3, etc as part of its line-up. There can only be so many all-to-similar Endura/Persistence/Military/Manix clones. I also like the trend back to MBC offerings.

My only question now is how it will compare to the PPT, which looks to be very similar in size and design?

well, dreaming is fun and free :p

yes, deep carry is not easy for deployment - I'm not a knife toting SD person but it makes sense. for me, the problem is concealability. I can't carry a if it can't be concealed. Laws are really strict in places where I travel to. So I prefer deep carry so no one notices anything.
