well I had a horrible thursday at work and decided that I was going somewhere far and alone. thursday I had a ton of trouble and had a few people get fired. I then came home and got called back to work until 11:45 p.m, mind you I got to work at 5A.M. that morning. the long and the short of it was I got up the next day and left for mammoth lakes California... I drove north through Yosemite tioga pass to 395 south to mammoth. it was a nice 4\5 hour drive. it was snowing the first day and then it was just damn cold the next day while fishing. I saw a ton of wildlife, including a bear that was a bit to close. here are the pics.

Good for you man! When I lived in L.A. and had an office job, I used to do the same thing. I used to leave work on Friday and go up to the Eastern Sierra. One time I drove from L.A. up to Whitney Portal, Bishop, Mono Lake, Bodie, Yosemite, and Sequoia/Giant Forest then back to L.A. all in two days!

Sorry you had a rough thursday, but it looks like you had a good time out there to make up for it. Great pics man, and I hope your next weeks goes better.

September last year I spent a couple of days in yosemite hiking and then drove through to the Bristlecone pines national park and then down through Mammoth onto Death Valley. It was awesome and every day I want to go back and do it again.

Thanks for the pics.
