man your giving my generation a bad name:mad: im 14 and i hardly feel the need to sew gravity knives into my shoes and run from cops constantly. personallly i dont see why you arent better at avoiding cops. if cops are really a problem, find out where they are, and be where they arent. i carry knives, i never get bothered by cops. you know why? because i dont look threatening, i dont act like i want to get chased by cops, so i dont. its not really an issue if you are a normal functioning individual of society. i mean what are you trying to do? i garuntee that you arent impressing anyone here, the adults dont seem to impressed, im 14 and im not impressed in the least. i have a 7 year old cousin who talks like you. also, why didnt the cops just follow your path of hacked bambo, should have been fairly easy to catch you. that plus the fact that your 6 feet tall running through five feet of bamboo, with 18 pounds of gear. i want to know what you normally cut that cant be taken care of with a buck 110

Well, I can't prove I'm not lying, but you at least aknowledge there is reasonable doubt don't you? I'm not trying to make myself look tough or whatever, I rarely care what people think of me, but I don't like it when people think I'm a liar.

You're exaggerating. I have mentioned previous "chases", which were more like encounters, but I only spoke of them to explain myself (I don't remember the context). They're also far from spectacular.

I'm not sure I want to get into this again... but why don't you believe that I cut my head? Again, I don't care about you not believing an event, I just don't like being thought of as a liar.
 
TMG, I don't care about your run-in's with the law. I'm not a cop, I'm not a criminal, but I'm not normal either. I've been on both sides. I know your an idiotic kid, but we were all young (or are still young) at one time. The cops were probably wondering why you were carrying a Ka-Bar in the middle of the night. If you either plan to become law-abiding or still be on the otherside I severly suggest you stop lying about your EDC's. A 4" blade could have easily gotten you throw it, plus maybe the cops wouldn't have been chasing you :rolleyes: :yawn:

I can't believe I've been giving you the benefit of the doubt. So you now admit you were lying about the head "surgery"?
 
I have one more question. You would be hard-pressed to find a school that would allow a pocket knife, even if your in VT were some things are allowed in schools (no rules against knives to my knowledge) I don't think they would allow a delinquent with all that gear there? What do you carry then?

The cops don't pick me up for knives, it was because I set off a "salute" (which is pretty much any homemade container filled with explosive powder). I don't look or act threatening or suspicious, it's nothing like that, and for the thousandth time I'm not trying to impress anyone. I didn't mention a damn thing about police until someone asked.

I had three friends with me. I didn't chop anything until I was convinced I was well ahead of the cop (I don't even know if he followed me at all, the cops in this town are extremely lazy, but I didn't want to take chances). So, we ran about 50 yards until we got to the river, then waited under the bank to listen for anyone coming (there's no way they could get five feet into those woods without us hearing). After a while of silence, we decided they* weren't gonna follow us, but they might not be too lazy to wait up above, or maybe inspect the remains of the salute. We waded across the river and after we got into the woods a little, I began chopping stuff out of the way. In fact, I even remarked to a friend "Well, if this happens to be the one cop around with a work ethic and he follows us this far, he'll know exactly where we went." The rest of the story is irrelivant unless you have another question about it.

There isn't really any common chore I can't do with a Buck 110, I just like knives! I don't need them, I like them.

*I'm sure it was only one cop, but I refer to "them" as plural to avoid specifying gender. I have no idea if it was a male or female.

Oh, it's summer vacation. I don't carry anything like a Ka-Bar in school... I'm not that crazy.

That reminds me, my dad knows someone who sucessfully removed his own apendix. I'm suprised the guy did't bleed to death.
 
Yes, the police tend to be picky over such things as salutes. Mostly because many "salutes" (e.g. cratermakers) can be judged to be dangerous explosive devices. Remember that a so-called "pipe bomb" is also a salute.

Personally, if a policeman caught me setting off a salute, I'd just explain to them what I was doing. As long as you weren't setting off HE salutes or some such, I doubt you'll have much of a problem.
 
After reading this and some of your earlier posts, I can only come to 2 possible conclusions:


1. You're an attention seeking, compulsive liar.

or. if your posts are actually true, and not the works of fiction I think they are,

2. One day you're going get arrested or shot by the police.

Well, at least you leave it a possibility rather than just assume I'm a liar like most people seem to, but I don't think those are the only possibilities. I may get arrested someday though.
 
This is really the wrong forum for what you are posting. If you care to flesh out your story with some detail and even some quick drawings, the goons over at http://forums.somethingawful.com might give you a better reception.

I am a police officer and I must say...you seem a little on the strange side. I don't have a problem with people carrying knives and I have never arrested someone for carrying an illegal knife (as long as it wasn't used in the crime, but someone who carries as many knives as you say you do...I might have a problem with that. It makes me wonder what you will do when you are old enough to buy a gun. Wait a minute...those kids in Columbine were not old enough to buy guns.

Why does it make you wonder about that? I may seem eccentric with knives, but do I really seem unresponsible with them? I know I haven't (and probably can't) proven that I am responsible, but what have I said that makes you think I'm not?

I like guns almost as much as I like knives, but I never tried to get one because I'd have nowhere to use it and I didn't think my parents would mind. One day, though, I found out that my parents didn't mind at all, so I decided to get one. Unfortunately, this was around the time I was put on anti-depressants, and my parents got paranoid that I was going to commit suicide, so they never followed through (they changed their minds at the last minute. I was shopping on online gun auctions, and I had actually bid on one gun before they finally changed their minds. I lost the bid though.)
