You CANNOT Bushcraft with a Tanto Style Knife!!!

Who would tell you that a tanto cant cut things ??!!

Try useing a Tracker Knife and see what kind of looks you get then!!! Ha Ha!!!!

It never occurred to me that a tanto style knife wouldn't work. Not my cup of tea but must have missed something. LOL!

It's shocking what's said on the interwebs. Oh well, you can't trust it anyway. "It's a series of tubes!" ha ha

There's no way that vid is real.

Next challenge? Bow drill. Set to Queen's "Fat Bottomed Girls."

I believe the essence of bushcraft and survival is to familiarize yourself with as many techniques as possible using as many different tools as possible. We can't limit ourselves to one style or one certain type of knife. I have used everything from flint knapping to american tantos. From hawks to double bits. They are all beneficial. There are knives that I do prefer, but I don't limit myself to those. When I was fighting I had to study my opponent's previous fights to become familiar with their style. Same with survival and bushcraft. Adapt and overcome with whatever is available. It would be wise for us to practice our woods skills with as many different knives as possible, fire starting methods, traps, etc., etc.

The majority of people who degrade tantos don't own one or have never used one. Especially on forums. They talk about how good or bad knives are that they don't even have. It's funny, actually.
