You don't know uncertainty until you get into knives

It's really true. I've got a ZT 0095 in the mail and I'm already thinking about what knife I want next. Sometimes I lose the passion for knives and sometimes it comes back in force. Contego? The new green/CTS 204p Military? No, I have an orange one already.... ooh, maybe a Police 3! Or K2? Oh the choices....

Wantagh? Im in oceanside. Anyway. The passion or addiction seems to cycle for me. I was at a point where i had a number of knives, all being my favorite. I was content, then got an itch, a small one so I bought a cs voyager. That was a minth ago and now im in search of the next. Im telling myself not until Christmas, so i will pick out two between now and then and hope i can survive the wait.

I always use the "last knife I'm ever going to buy" to open the packaging of my new knife.;)

The "which knife should I buy next" problem is easy to solve; that one. The hard part is deciding which one to carry each day.

I'm afraid I don't understand the use of the word "uncertainty" relative to this thread.

I seldom get a new knife and immediately wonder what I going to acquire next. It is a hobby, but I don't think it's an obsession. I use knives, but I'm not above just buying because something catches my eye including cheap movie repo's, a sword, a Frost folder, Mora, handmade knife, or whatever. I still find the Rambo knives fairly interesting. More often than not, my new acquisitions are fairly spontaneous purchases. No plan. Just fun.
