You favorite or gun of choice....

Glock 19 all the time!
Kimber on my night stand!
G19 has always been reliable and ammo is cheap.
Kimber just has a nice feel to it, and I like having a .45, just ammo is more expensive.
But the HK45c maybe be a replacement, just waiting for my 30 days to clear in NJ to pick it up.

For me its the 1911 platform, a Colt Delta Elite in a 10mm basically a 40 without its ba%# cut off. I shoot Double Tap ammo, Hornady Xtp-Hp 200 grainers at a little over 1250fps. I like carrying this one when deer hunting. Not sure how the sig got in there.

How do you like your Kimber super carry? I'm looking at one. Any problems??

My favorite .40 is one of these. Sig P229 Scorpion. I call it "The Hammer". :D Mine has the newer, humongous extractor. And is .40 S&W, of course.

It's a beast of a gun. I had no interest in .40 cal whatsoever until I got a good deal on this gun. After the first trip to the range, I was instantly converted. What a sweet-shooting gun! And super, ridiculously-crazy accurate- it will shoot cloverleaf holes all day long. Somebody apparently forgot to tell this gun that .40s are not supposed to be very accurate. Since it's a Sig, it's 100% reliable. I've never had a single jam of ftf in any of my 5 Sigs. They're like clocks- they just work.

very nice! i love my Sigs, but none of mine are that eyecatching. how do them grips feel in the hand? are they smooth or do they chew you up a bit?

The grips are AMAZING. They're very grippy, but they don't chew up your hand. Your hand locks in, and the gun does not move AT ALL. They're very comfortable. I liked the G10 so much I got a set of VZ Krakens for my P226. They're just as good, but not as flashy looking. G10 grips are the way to go, I don't care for rubber or wood grips on my guns anymore. Aluminum is nice too.

I live a simple life and enjoy the simple things....give me a wheel gun! ;)
I carry the ruger LCR.

Love my 229, but can double as an awesome paperweight!

Lolz. Yeah, it's a bit of a brick. That's why I call mine "The Hammer", because it could definitely be used as one. I've never seen a beefier, more overbuilt gun.

The only pistol I currently have is an Springfield XD 45 with 5" barrel and an Intratec 22 (currently trying to sell locally to fund...) a S&W M&P 9pro is what I plan on getting once I sell the tec22 and an SKS. I really like the XD, fits my hand well, good capacity, never had a FTE,FTF, etc with it. The Tec22 is fun with its 30 round clips, but pretty inaccurate, and I don't really have a need for it, I would keep it if I had all the guns I wanted already, but still have 3-4 on the list.

If you're talking 40S&W and not just anything from .40 to .49... then I have to give it to the Glock 23. It's compact enough to conceal, has a full hand grip, good capacity, and I've found the smaller Glocks shoot just as accurately as the larger ones. If you are going to buy a Glock 27... then put a grip extension on it.. you might as well get the 23 because you're throwing away the main advantage a 27 has. And I really don't like having to lift my pinky to do a mag change (one of the reasons I fell out of love with my Glock 36). And I have found that most folks that claim the Glock grip angle prevents them from shooting it accurately simply just don't shoot Glocks enough. 1,000 rounds out the weapon will cure any grip angle problems you have with it. I HATED the grip angle on glocks when I got my first one. But I was determined to master it... so in the course of one weekend I put 1,000 rounds through it and I don't even notice it anymore. I can transition from a Glock to a 1911 to an HK to a Sig to a Revolver with little adjustment. That's been my experience. Glock 23 is a good fighting handgun, and they are disposable. One thing some folks never think about is you have to be willing to never see your handgun again if you use it to defend yourself against another human being. Depends on your state of course but a lot of the time, they are going to take it, and they may even destroy it. If that happened to one of my Ed Browns... I'd cry. I can always get another Glock.

+ 1 on the Glock 23. Very accurate and goes bang every time.I was a master firearms instructor for our department. We used Glock 22and over 14 years and thousands of rounds through the training guns I rarely saw a failure to feed. Most of the ones were operator error.Limp wristing or failed to seat the magazine. For daily carry is my Glock 23 or Springfield 1911.When I go to the woods I carry my Ruger Super Redhawk in 454 Casull!

.45 because shooting twice is silly! All jokes aside I heard one of the reasons that the military went with .45 over 9mm was that guys were shooting enemies with 9mm and they were going right through them and not taking them down. Not saying 9mm isn't a good round but it seems that .40 is a nice balance between velocity and take down power. Just my 2 cents.

Anything Sig Sauer you can't go wrong.
