Hey guys

You know a year ago I hated scandi ground knives, but after playing with some frosts and seeing what you guys are doing with these knives I went and made a Scandi-style knife of my own its more like a bushcrafter , I am calling it Candainavian
5 inch blade 1/8 thick 1075, 5 inch stablized beech handle with red micarta spacer. 12-14 oz leather sheath,

Looks great bro, tip looks nice and sharp. I like the blade shape as well.

Nice, simple, and effective!

I cannot find anything I don't like..........

Thats really nice Jimi. Looks very clean and functional. A cool grain pattern in the handle too - almost like wood imitating stacked leather. Is the tang enclosed?

Sorry if this is against the rules or something, but I have a feeling this thread is going to be referred to in the W&C forums... :D:p;)

nice job on that...is it a through tang or is the tang partway?

looks sweet.

I absolutely love this knife. Very well done indeed. Great name too!

All the best,

- Mike

jimi, that's a real nice job. Looks like a great slicer, and the Beach has soul.

:D

Thanks guys ,

The tang is a hidden tang , it is about 80% the size of the handle, but is completely covered by the handle.
