Ok i made a thread asking about why people carry 2 knives and im now convinced... im currently carrying a para military 2 for my slicer/box killer
I was considering getting a knifeworks ZT 0350 s30v in satin bead blast finish... for my heavy use knife

here is my criteria under 4 in (3.5-3.75 preferred) s30v and up steel, i prefer g10, and under $175-200

let me hear all your suggestions

I'd say "get a Douk Douk" but I'm not sure if it qualifies as "s30v and up" steel. Regardless, it will outlive you and it's like $20. Just some food for thought...

benchmad griptilian! within your price range, great knife, (not sure about the g10, i think they use something better) and it comes in d2, s30v, etc. you can actualy make your own custom griptillian on the benchmade website!

custom griptillian- (s30v version- $145) http://www.benchmade.com/customize/default.aspx

totaly go for it. one of my all time favs. oh and one other thing, make sure you get the "gripilian" and not the "mini griptilian". theregular one has a "3.75 inch blade.

i have a ritter grip in both mini and regular size... guess i just wanted something different

$0-$100: CS lawman,recon 1 or similar.

$100-$250: HEST folder, M1 combative edge or 0551 if you can find one, but really anything ZT will do. (all these should be under or at $200 but you may have to pay more to acquire a 0551)

Higher prices:

$250-$300: New WDZ Azreal.

$300+++ anywhere from a used Strider, Lion steel SR-1 to a Yuna.

First, nice decision. I don't take a shower without 1 knife within arms reach and I don't leave the house without at least 2. Second, recommending a knife really depends on what your purpose is. Self-defense? Show off to friends? Just in case the SHTF? Cutting pesky zip ties?

If you are looking for a good price heavy duty knife in that price range I recommend the ZT 0200. It is one beast of a knife, not too expensive at around $120, g-10 scales, s30v steel, DLC coating, etc. etc. etc. If you are looking for something a little out of the ordinary that will definitely impress your buddies, I recommend the Benchmade Bedlam 860. I really like this persian style knife for my self-defense purposes (I know, its not for everyone).

Good luck. Let us know what you decide.

Get you a waved endura. It's light and deploys fast. Has a 3 7/8 in. blade.

If you have a blade as your main carry, a SAK is a must for the second. I HIGHLY recommend the Vic Non-Serrated One Hand Trekker.

How can you just carry 2?

Leatherman Juice S2, Buck Trapper, and either a Kershaw Vapor or Benchmade Ambush.

One for a bit larger jobs (Vapor/Ambush), one multitool (Juice), one for finer or more delicate slicing (Trapper).

Good luck. There are any number of choices that will fill your personal requirements.

I've found what works best for me is; a heavy-duty knife in my rfp, currently switching between a titanium Military and a SR-1 V, and then a medium sized slipjoint in my lfp, currently a Case large Gunstock.

I also carry a Leatherman Juice 2 in the outside pocket of my wallet. It comes in handy at times.

Now that you have two knives, you might want to consider going with three!!:D

I am considering a ZT 0350 satin bead blast (knifeworks exclusive) or an Emerson horseman stonewashed... or just carrying my full sized ritter griptilian as my 2nd... i also started carrying my victorinox pioneer again
