You have 1 month to spend $100,000 on 10-20 knives or lose it! What do you buy?

Hey, in that Bud K catalog on page 9, there's a knife called the Bud K Striker that says (if you read the backward photograph

) it was designed by Tom Anderson. Is that OUR Tom Anderson?

Say it isn't so! Tom doing work for Bud K?? Horrors!!!

Oh and I agree wholehaeartedly with Gus' picks! Great stuff, A Loerchner, an Ence a Scagel and I'm fine for the next decade!

Thanks for the links Gus!

Am I out of money yet? For those of you who can't spend the 100K. Please forward your money to me.

Robert -

OK, first, I was kidding - I KNOW I'd never own a Masamune, because A) if there are any examples of this master's work still left, they're in a museum in Japan, and B) you're right - $100K wouldn't even come close. I was having fun, because that's what this thread is about - when are YOU gonna have said $100K to blow on knives (personally, I'd probably buy a Ferrari instead, but that's just me) you aren't - that's the point. We're fantasizing here.

Second, I think I'd appreciate it very much, thanks. It's a perfect example of a beautiful and deadly art form - could I use it? No. But then, I wouldn't want too. Too damn big - wouldn't fit in my pocket all that easily.

If you know where to get a new Ferrari in the Boston area for 100K, please let me know. Also, I have a nice bridge for sale in Brooklyn....

See2:

I wasn't clarifying it for you individually. I knew you were joking.

Don't take it so personally.

Robert -

Sorry, man. I guess I read it wrong. That's one of the problems with bulletin boards - you can't tell inflection. No harm done. My apologies if I was too confrontative.
