Here is a survival Bowie created many years ago at the time of the RAMBO knives and the saw teeth are made to function like a saw and actually do the work of a saw. The sheath also has a sharpener. It addition, there is survivial morse code and also the codes for distress signalling for aircraft etched into the blade. The knife also can be readily lashed to a pole to create a spear.
