Very unlikly to survive the eBay police with a picture and everything. But, it'll be interesting to watch.

The seller could probably have slipped this one past the censors by just calling it "Benchmade Model 42 Folding Pocket Knife", omitting the picture (we all know what a brand new 42 looks like) and making the description something like "Brand new, in the box, with original papers and sheath, Benchmade's recently introduced Model 42 folding pocket knife with plain blade. E-mail for pictures or more information."

Now it's not so special, it's over $120, just around the price that you could get one at.

>>Very unlikly to survive the eBay police

The problem with the Ebay police is that they usually shoot first and ask questions later. They think they can do whatever they want, and there is nothing you can do about it. The last time they locked me out, I asked the guy if he would like to be a co-defendant along with the president of Ebay in a court of law. I told him to call Ebay legal department to see if I did not mean what I said. Within about 4 hours of sending that email, he was calling me on the phone to tell me that he was so glad that I saw the error of my ways, and that he was sure I wanted to be a law abiding Ebay citizen, so they were going to let me back in again to list my auctions. It gets boring to do everything the same way, but if I want to make any changes in the way I run my Ebay auctions, I have to get it approved by the Legal department first. >>I just checked that link to Ebay - they've closed the auction

Yep, I was taking a walk down memory lane to look at some of the old forum posts, and commented on one of them. That auction actually ended about 2 months ago
