Hey guys,

Over the last two years, I have had about six Benchmade 940's pass through my hands. I always traded them for something good as they hold a pretty good value to them. I recently picked up another in a trade. Anyways, I just love this blade. Everything is just perfect about it. Great size and it's incredibly light weight. I also carry a Sm Sebenza and I think the 940 carries better. (IMO of course). Any other fans of this fantastic blade?

I've had one BM 940 with a black handle. It was a good knife for normal EDC task. I have 2 criticisms: 1- It isn't the easiest S30V to sharpen and 2- the aluminum handle construction is kind of weak compared to other materials. It is an ideal size, very lightweight, and fits great in the pocket. If I ever bought another Benchmade that would probably be the one.

I've owned one for 10 years, was just playing with it last night. It has developed a tiny bit of blade play and has lots of use marks, but is still going strong. I still carry it on occasion as a chore knife.

My fiance'e claimed mine as hers and carries it daily. I like it, not my favorite Benchmade, but pretty close, I would like to see a thinner blade or hollow grind to make a better slicer. Overall the knife feels too thin and "gentlemanly" for me, I think its the long thin handle.

The 940 was my first Benchmade purchase 7 or so years ago. Today it's still my idea of the perfect EDC knife.

It's the only Benchmade I own... so far...

The 940 is a great EDC knife. Pair it up with a Leatherman123 and you're set for anything.

Benchmade makes great knives period. Love the 707 and the RSK MK1.

The 940 is one of Benchmade's best ever! Nice size blade in such a small package. It gets a BIG THUMBS UP from me!!!! Kevin :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::D
