You just can't make this stuff up.

Kershaw/KAI is easily on par with Buck, I like both companies. Running down one company doesn't raise the other.
They may be well established in the modern stuff, but Buck is miles ahead with traditional hunters and pocket knives that one might see and generically call a " buck knife ".

I must hang around with a better class of people, no one I know would make that mistake.....

Well, you're a Buck Forum regular, so the fact that you run with the intelligentsia is understood.

We eat broccoli rather than socializing with it.

:)

Superior in what way? Not build quality or fit and finish or materials. Superior nostalgia?
As a company nobody is better than Buck.

I think Buck is superior in materials.
Ebony, and brass, and a blade anyone can keep razor sharp are better than some Kershaw with no class.
Nice leather sheaths, options in various woods, elk stag, jigged bones.
Superior in what you get for the money.

Frankly I find Kershaw knives to pale in comparison to Buck.
Many American made Buck offerings cost less than every American made Kershaw offerings and often equivalent in cost to Kershaw chinese offerings. Buck is well known for their well treated 420hc.
Kershaw uses something 400 series believe as the standard on their American made knives, and as far as I know nobody is ever raving about it.

Furthermore why come to the Buck forum and complain because a Buck fan said they were better than kershaw.

I'm not going to the Kershaw section and complain because someone probably finds their favorite Kershaw better than my favorite Buck model.

Do you really want to open that can of worms here on the Buck forum?

I have had some kershaw/kia knives I’ve bought and some that were gifts since 1980 and none of them were much worth the trouble of keeping. Mostly the heat treatment was way off but just about every aspect was very poor.
I have never been disappointed in any of the Buck knives I’ve ever had and thats a lot of knives.

You can't beat the 110 for $35.
I got my cousin a 110 for his high school graduation , he put it on his belt and threw away the horrible $40 Chinese Kershaw that was in his pocket.

I don't know how many times he had me work on that piece of junk , no matter what it would either not spring open or would rattle like a bucket of bolts.

DeSotoSky DeSotoSky is a good guy that does some positive things around here.

He deserves more respect than that.
An appreciative member would recognize his efforts and act accordingly!

LOL!

I'm well aware of his expertise and his positive nature.

I just gave him a compliment.

....At everyone else's expense.
Why is it so important to you to make waves?
Folks come here to talk about knives.
You seem to have a different agenda.

You have been a member for less than 3 months (?)
