Whoever it is, I just hope that they get to it on the first episode and not do like they did last time and spin off on another story line for a couple weeks. I couldn't really care less about Carol and Morgan's side story right now.

THANK YOU.

I posted about the POV thing in my post (#11) but no one pays attention lol
(also posted about it in the big TWD thread but no one payed attention there either)

btw I'm pretty sure you can see Daryl and Michonne in one of the POV shots in the truck

Yeah you did, I was just expanding on it a bit in case someone wants to go back and have specific reference points to look for while watching it.

I love Glenns character, but his death is needed. I firmly believe they have been leading up to it as well. He was the one looking at the pictures of the bashed in heads after their raid on the saviors. He killed his first person in that raid...the entire series, and he finally killed someone. He has always escaped such inescapable situations. Maggie needs to be less attached to the group to move forward. Rick needs to go to crazy town again.

There is also the tree theory.

Behind Negan during the final POV shot, you see trees. This means that from the point of view of the person being killed, the line of sight from him, to negan, and beyond is not facing the RV, but in front of or behind the RV. There are only 2 people with that point of view. Eugene on one side of the half moon of people on their knees, and Glenn on the other. Everyone else would have the RV as the backdrop to their POV death.

Oh yea, totally forgot about the photos of the bashed in heads. Yea, that was some pretty heavy foreshadowing- I also agree about it just wouldn't move the story along correctly if it was anyone else. I mean they can wander from the comic storyline, but not that far, and thats a huge moment that is super important with how things progress for everyone else. It just doesn't make sense for it to be anyone else.

Anywho, I'm super excited for it to come back. Cant wait! Just bought some of the recent comic issues to get fix until then.

except for those who have not read the comics ;)

I have to say and agree with Reign....Glenns death is too much a part of the future of the comics.

I am sure it's Glenn, not just because that's what happened in the comics but of 2 different occasions that Scott M Gimple had a comment about what happened on the walking dead show.

#1 When Glenn was under the dumpster and everyone was in an uproar over it, He sent a message to The talking dead saying that Glenn is not done with the walking dead as he is yet to finish a story line, he goes on to mention that he will still be in the show past, present, or future to finish the story line.

#2 When the season 6 finale happened Scott M Gimple released another statement saying that whoever it was that negan killed was the finish of a story line and the beginning of a new one.

If it follows the comic then Glenn will finish his story line and Maggie will assume the hilltop.

The only person I can think of that would make a huge impact on the story other than Glenn, would be Maggie.

I would be upset if they took Glenn's death from me in this specific manner. His death drives the story forward. It creates the Rick that Alexandria needs moving forward.

Throughout the episode, you get a first person view from someone inside a dark place. This POV is recurrent a few times from the same angle and distance from the light. Lights are seen shining through a large, vertical slit and round holes(Bullet holes). Glenn, Daryl, Michonne and Rosita were all in the van. The last time in the episode we see a POV angle is when someone is being bashed by Lucille. This means its somewhat safe to believe that the final POV shot of the person being killed is the same as the person in the van.

A little about Negan. He is a messed up dude who leads by fear. He does have his own code that he follows pretty strictly. He doesn't kill women and he is absolutely against rape. This means the women(Michonne and Rosita) should be safe from Lucille.

The last POV angle from inside the van, the door opens and you see someones head in the lower left of the screen in the corner of the van against the wall and facing the back doors. When you see them bringing people out, that is where Daryl is sitting. This means that Daryl was not the POV shot from inside the van and should also not be the POV shot from the kill.

This only leaves Glenn who appeared to be brought out from the center of the van and was the final person to exit.

With Daryl being seen by the POV, and Negans code against killing or raping women. Its only fitting that Glenn is the one who get chosen.

In the comics, what Negan does with the men in his group who defy him and their wives, there really isn't much difference between his force and rape. I don't want to go into too much detail to give away possible show story points.

There is a huge difference between his force and rape.

He killed one of his own to save Holly from being raped, and goes on to say that if he were to let his men rape women, then there is no hope left to rebuild civilization. He gets irate with another leader who allows his men to rape their women. He yelled at Dwight for attempting to beat a "Defenseless child".

He believes that the strong should protect the weak. He is a very complex character.

dude...being that they decided to replace the Team Gemini with the blood diamond...it could be any of them or all of them.. Daryl cant save anyone with that POS.

Forcing them to be with him in his harem is the same thing in my eyes. Be it as it may

Han Solo he is the one who gets it ;)

I'd say its in blatant spoiler territory at this point lol---

BUT I will say, iirc, Negan does not force anything on the women. They have a choice- be a soldier(Savior) like the men, or be one of his wives. There are plenty of women who choose to be normal members of the Saviors.

^^^^ This Is True! ^^^^. I personally love Negan. He is and will continue to be a very important character in the comics,....and truth be told....if you look at the world from his eyes, Rick is a total psychopath that should be killed. Just saying, Negan may be bad.....but in a world with no rules other than morals...he is a very "Alpha" like character. The kind people tend to follow. Although this is just my opinion from the comics.
