This little gem found its way to my mailbox today........

100_0346.jpg

Marks new labor of love, a Bushcrafter with a wicked Scandi grind that he was generous enough to send me for a review, and to test out...

First impressions - This is a very evenly ground scandi, with a wicked sharp edge. The knife is a great size, and Im lovin the natural micarta scales...

So boys, stay tuned to this thread for my upcoming tests and review!!!!

If I close my eyes and try to picture an ideal bushcraft knife, I come up with something like this.

That knife looks outstanding! I'm looking forward to hearing about some field tests.

All the best,

- Mike

I remember when he posted that and it looked like a winner of a design! Looking forward to hearing how it performs!

right on Jake.. you lucky dog...that's a sweet looking knife... mark is a great guy to deal with and he makes some outstanding blades... all hardcore users.... i have his other bushcrafter enroute...:D

looking forward to your review and some more pics... :)

Sweet man, I was excited to hear he was sending you that. Can't wait to see your other pics. Some rounder handles and I think it'd be right up my alley.

if i remember correctly, you arent a huge scandi fan, so ill be interested to see your thoughts on it.

Kinda so man. I hate puuko and traditional scandi type blades, but I have nothing against the grind. I liked the Koster I had though. They arent usually my first choice in a knife, but they are quite functional...

Holy hell man - Your mailman gets a workout!

That's a sweet blade!

Its an awesome knife. Very well balanced and agile. It reminds me of a scandi BRKT Aurora.

That looks great Jake! Go get her dirty and give us a full review. Leave old chevy hoods alone though!

Oh I will. My instructions werent to break this one, so I will do up a proper review consisting of all the "real life" bushcrafting tasks.

if the post office lives up to its pattern with priority mail, you should be getting another package tomorrow. :)
