No, it's not. It's by no means the optimum knife for all uses. It could easily be argued that it's not even the best all-around knife of the list. Although it does have that snazzy brand name that gets some all worked-up...

I like the looks of the Buck 124 more, but the Spyderco Respect is probably the better knife.

I'll admit, I will pick the most expensive one since I dont like any of my choices. The Svord is cool but I read some bad reviews about the guard coming loose...

A while back I purchased a fake spyderco jot Singh (not on purpose) with a box, and when I sent it to spyderco to take a look they asked to keep it and send me a big coupon...I toiled over the choice for many days (almost everything was OOS on their site) then got my Province. Originally wanted to safe queen it for later but it turned out to be a tremendous chopper (of meats and trees) so I ended up beating the crap out of it!

I was torn between the Respect and the Trailmaster. Nostalgia won out. 14 year old me really wanted a Trailmaster but could afford a SRK. Which I still have 30+ years later. So Trailmaster it is.

I already have a Buck 124, so I'm going with the Spyderco Respect. Good steel, good grind, good handles, descent shape. It looks like a quality user.

I voted Spyderco Respect. I'll take the CPM 154 + G-10 over the other materials. I'm also a Spyderco fan.

I'll try to ignore the fact that I could sell the Respect for $350, buy one of the other knives, and pocket the rest.
