Hey folks you wont believe this!. well at least not me hehe. the newspaper bags that are dropped off that sometimes contain samples of products just threw me a freeby from the newspaper gods.
One morning i go to the door and woila there is this this about cancer survivors and a phone number thing on a flexible plastic magnifying ruler thing. i cut off the ad part and was left with about 5" of a pretty good fire starter and magnifyer in one. tried it out the same min and it worked great! i was able to light tinder in under half a min. pretty neat huh.
its unbeleivable that such mundane things can mean so much to some people hehe. well at least me.
I guess the old adage of ones mans trash is another mans treasure rings true in my case.
oh you can light a fire with some batteries and steel wool. if you are out and want to experiment, just take the light bulb out replace with steel wool and its almost magic.
