udtjim emailed me a picture of a new custom knife. He's a bit too old & senile to figure out how to post his own pic so I thought I'd help him out.;)

I had this knife made by Blessing Knives. It a carbon steel blade, 5 inches long and the handle is 4 and a half inches long. Very sharp and feel great in my big old hand. It has a Walnut grip as I recall although there were many othe options. I wanted to start with a kinda bare bones knife. I am very happy with his work. This one will see a lot of use.

Looks sharp(pun shamelessly intended). Got any details? Steel, handle material, dimensions, etc.?
From the picture it looks like a large Nessmuk, which is something I brought up not long ago. Having a Nessmuk of each size; A la...machete, traditional size, and pocket nessy.
At any rate it looks like a very good user and a fine woodsknife.

Edit; Woops, looks like UDTJim beat me to the punch, and here I thought it was bigger than that. hehe Nice looking blade, Jim

I am going to have him make me another one with some more exotic wood and Lanyard hole. I may have him change the blade shape just a bit. I never grabbed a knife that felt better right off the bat than this one. I can see why it was popular back in its hay day. The weight forward gives it some light chopping power and the thin flat grind makes it a real slicer. Its about 1/8 in thick.

I like Gary's stuff. Its rustic, carbon goodness!

Old? naw.... your experianced. ;)

Thanks fellows! glad you like it Jim.

That handle was rather comfortable, it fell in between the straight handle I usually prefer, and other curves I've done lately, and will most likely be done a lot on future nessmuks.

Fits better than a glove. Like all good things though, you need at least two.
