Bought one knife this year. Haven't felt the need to buy anything else since I got it in July:
John Lloyd Custom Single Blade Trapper ( his take on the Remington Baby Bullet Trapper minus the spey blade )
and as you can see , it is getting used daily , gave it a clean up from all the Christmas packaging sticky stuff.

I didn't really buy a heck of a lot in 2011, the highlight I guess is this:
I also got a kershaw gent knife which is amazing, my first assisted opener (kershaw chive), case peanut, a hand full of rough riders in various patterns and thats about it. Money was real tight in 2011 as I was immigrating to the US and only got here in November. Not too many purchases planned for 2012 either, in fact only one...the 2012 forum knife.

(LOVE this two knives, although quality can be better the designs and how they feel, look and work are great overall. But not impressed with blade steel 440c and sharpness from stock. Also would be better with phosphor washers instead of nylon ones)
Ontario RAT:
-Rat-1, black painted blade-desert tan handles.
CKRT:
-M-16-13DSF (my first CRKT, nice folder that gets no love as far as I see in other peoples reviews, but I found it to be very nice to hold and operate, but yes, it's not great for using wich is kind of daft being that knifes are tools.)
