#1. Victorinox Alox Harvester, my favorite "work" knife, this one gets pounded daily opening boxes, sharpening pencils, cutting felt paper and house wrap, picking splinters, opening paint cans, cutting string, scraping off drywall mud, cleaning goo from fingernails, etc.
#2. Schatt & Morgan F&W Mountain Man, so slick and perfect I have to use it! My first really nice knife.
#3. Case 6375CV stockman, for whittling and tinkering with wood and such chores. Everyone needs a traditional stockman, and you can't get much more traditional than an amber bone chrome vanadium carbon steel Case.
#4. Queen 41LCSB copperhead, always in a pocket somewhere, perfect for going to town, compact and lightweight, but enough for any basic knife use. I like the liner lock.
#5. A new favorite, I guess it'll be a favorite, since I haven't used it yet, but I just love it so far, the Buck 805 sheath knife. Superior steel, ultra sharp, and beautifully finished. Cannot wait to use this one on the next small game hunt.
I have several folding hunters and other different styles, but the first four listed above are always in use, and I doubt that #5 will be lacking either.
I've investigated the modern pocket clip one handers, but so far none have been intriguing enough to convert me. I do like the Buck Adrenaline Ti and Benchmade Griptillian, so I might be tempted one of these days.
