Over the years I've read some funny things of what you fellas think Australia is like .
Here is a bit of a "what would ya bring" scenario for you. Don't worry about our local laws it's just a bit of fun. mitch13 mitch13 your welcome to my side of the dividing range too.
So your all invited for a week long bush bash at my joint everything supplied except I want you to bring a multi-tool/sak, of course, a second blade and a firearm for what you think you will encounter here . Post a list of what you would bring. Photos are always good to look at and it's ok to be funny, we have thick skin out here.

I have a few predictions
A Ace Rimmer will bring an Aussie lingo book to interpret for youse all. Rsmith_77 Rsmith_77 will think drop bears are his main threat and 315 315 will bring a flame thrower for spiders 😂🤣.

And in all seriousness if anyone ever actually wants somewhere to stay we don't have much but we are happy to share what we got and there's always a spare swag for ya here.

I have too many Aussie friends

I actually know what a drop bear is
And how dingos ate the baby
How roo's are just deer who went to prison
And how we are all septs here in the states

And mostly concerned with your sneks
But I have no idea where in upside down Aussieland you reside

My only rifle is a lever action 30-30
Which I reckon would fit in just fine over there
And cause you calling it a bush bash I'd probably bring the pioneer and my esee 4hm for bush work

30-30 is perfect, one of my favourites. Good choice of knives too 👍🏻👍🏻
I'm about 8hrs west of Sydney.

North America has plenty of venomous snakes too
But ours would rather hide and/avoid us if possible

They only bite if cornered or stepped on.

I hear those brown snakes are actively aggressive and will charge people (if what I hear is true)

You are thinking of POLAR BEARS Rsmith_77 Rsmith_77 ;) or TICS - I've "heard" that they are hunters in the bush. That flame thrower could come in handy after all.🤔 I'd pack my boxing gloves, peanut butter, a stout rope, a khukuri and a broad rimmed crushable hat, along with solid sensible foot wear. Can't have too much leather above the ankles. Thanks for the invite.

Yes eastern brown and king brown snakes here neither play nice. Tiger snakes are aggressive and plentiful as well.

Don't bring guns :
You need Permits .. Check with the Australian Embassy ! Cos you might need a legitimate reason ! ( Not cos you feel like it = Hoops to jump thru )
Wrong time of year , yes .... Oz snakes can be testy !
Tigers / Browns / Taipans can be aggressive at certain times . Especially if you mess with them .
Most snakes prefer to run / slither away when given the opportunity to do so .
Lots and lots of Spiders ....

Looking forward to the bush bash and bar-b at your place Dan!
Since I'm certain any trip to Australia will be a battle for survival, I think a battle-rifle is in order, thus the M1-A.
The multi-tool had better be durable so the Camillus utility knife should do nicely.
Finally a Schrade Sharpfinger just in case I get separated and have to fight my way back to my rifle. If a Sharpfinger was good enough for Sonny Barger, (founder of Hell's Angels) it's good enough for me.
Oh, and believe me, I'll be staying close to 315 and his flame thrower the whole time I'm there. I mean, come on, you got dem spiders. ;)

On second thought these have done well for me anywhere I carried them so these might make a more logical choice.

I do love listening to an Australian accent (even if it is a "foreign" language ;) ). I will probably have to be content with listening to 2GB via the Internet, I'm afraid. Back before the Internet kind of killed international broadcasting by making it so much cheaper to reach global audiences, I was a fairly active shortwave listener and often listened to Radio Australia. (Speaking of which, I understand Macca is still active on the air!) At least Radio New Zealand is still on. In fact, I was listening to them just last night (0300Z, 15720 kHz).
If I was able to come I'd definitely bring my Vic RangerGrip 78 and my Buck 119, a Remington 870 (for the spiders), and a good translation app so that we could understand each other 😆.
