Your bare minimum CRK collection - if you had to sell most

I only have one. Gimme peterbright's CRK cache! :D

My collection is small, and without the highly collectable awesomeness that I frequently see here.

Out if what I have, I'd have to choose the drop-point Umnumzaan. I've stated on different threads that if I was forced to have only one knife (not just one CRK) for every purpose, the 'Zaan would be it. I don't think there's much it couldn't do well.

ETA: I still have a few to add to my collection though!

I only have my KA Insingo and will have a Nyala Insingo in a couple days. One folder, one fixed sounds just about right.

I guess if I really had to pair it down I'd keep my large insingo (my first CRK and only large 21), my small plain jane 21 with my son's birthday, and small spalted beech with my daughter's birthday. A larger worker, small worker and one for when I'm dressed up. But my small plain jane with ladder is my current favorite so that would be hard to let go.

I think it would have to be my Plain Jane Large 21 Double Thumb Lug. It's kicked every other knife out of the pocket and is one of the snappiest CRKs I have ever handled.

I'll give myself an max of three from my exiting CRK collection:

- Honduran Rosewood Mnandi (the perfect gentlemen's folder):

- Small Inkosi (tough little bugger, smoother than glass, and in my version, pimped just so with a contrasting anodized blue/gold color way):

- Small micarta Insingo (love the blade profile, and the micarta inlays just feel so damn good in the hand):

Dunno, but these seem like they offer the best of what I'm looking for in CRK (before anyone starts talking about a Large or an Umnumzaan, I'm not a fan of knives with blades much over 3"; I live in NYC).

Of course, it was with no small amount of consternation that I had to give the axe to my KnifeArts CF small sebbie (with full CF backspacer and Millit CF clip), cocobolo-inlaid small Classic (for when classy is called for, and so is something larger than a Mnandi), Wilson Combat small Sebbie (love the pattern, the grip it affords and the double silver thumb studs) and Ti-Lock (too damn cool for school).

Now, if this were my fantasy CRK collection, there'd definitely be a Lignum Vitae Mnandi (go big, or go home) and a small Sebenza Regular BG-42 (the Icon) in the mix... ;-)

Regards,
Adam

I have a 21, a 25, an Inkosi and an Umnumzaan and really would not want to part with any of them. I did however part with every other folder I owned in order to have these. They are my minimum and I rotate through them one each day.

I plan to have only one CRK soon. It will be my small 21 micarta tanto. I find that this knife is the best fit for me because it meets all my needs. I have/ have had a large CF 21, small CF insingo, large 21 starbenza, and small 21 wood inlay. They have all been awesome and I wish I could keep them all. I don't think I could choose which one I like the best. I find it funny that they are all basically the same knife but they are all so unique too.
