Your best find.

1) Noticed a NIB (presentation box) "2" (spine marked) Gerber Paul model 2P for $65. When I showed interest in it, the store clerk said he was dying to get rid of it, and mentioned that it had been sitting in the store for over 15 years. He turned the box over and showed me the sale price, $40. !  Me: "I'll take it"! Sold! :D

2) A clearance sale at a local knife store got me a Becker TacTool and an older Camillus CUDA CQB1 (PE & ATS-34), both NIB, for a combined total of $146. $63 for the Becker and $83 for the CQB1!

A Trace Rinaldi Sharkstooth. One of the first 40 knives he's made...for 70 off of ebay. They guy didn't know what he had and described it badly. I open the pic and knew insantly that it was Traces work.
Twice I've scored high quality sushi knives at St. Vincents... a couple of bucks each. Plus about a dozen high carbon chefs knives.

an old used kukri that i found in an open market in Sofia, bulgaria (yep, quite far from Nepal !)
it cost me something like 30 usd (in 1997);
he is much nicer than the new ones you could find everywhere else...

I was going there to do some skying... so i had to "hide" this big knife inside my backpack during two weeks in oder not to be considered as a creazy murderer by the locals and the customs ! :D

should admit i was a bit worry, going from Bulgaria to Turkey, at the border... ;)

Before that a CRKT/Mirage left handed PE on clearance at a local shop for $39.99 CDN - Mirage
I don't know how similar, but my Mirage was a $15 closeout from Smoky Mountain Knife Works. AUS-8, 5-1/8 closed, not lefty though. I'm not a big fan of liner locks, but that's one smooth knife!

Randall Model 10 Utility Knife... This was an older one with an O1 tool steel blade. I think that I paid 98 cents for it, but I might have paid up to $1.98.
That's my vote for Best Find so far! Incredible.

You know how haggling is accepted practice at flea markets, and yard sales...seems thats where I find my best deals...even though those deals are not the find of a lifetime...just because I got them cheaper, I walk away thinking I did pretty good!! and the guy that sold them to me was maybe thinking the same on his part!! Then I take my sweet $1.00 "deal" and store it in a shoebox with all the other "great deals" and try to sell them at my yard sale for $5.00 knowing I'll get haggled down to $2.00. Seems no matter how many yard sales I go to, I most of the time find a $1.00 pocket knife, and I justify myself as at least buying something from them to be polite.
I did buy a few over the years that rise above the shoe box....even though still they are not rare or special edition.
One is a Push Button Knife Co. Walden N.Y. a hefty 4 3/4" jigged brown bone trapper with a pushbutton release single N/S bolster and has a fold-away finger gaurd. YEP...got her cheap.
Also, I'm proud of my jigged brown bone Camillus rigger...and my other rigger an all S/S West Products U.S.A. Sealine.

Of Brand new deals...I recently wanted and bought a new Kershaw 1050 folding field knife. I searched everywhere and ended up paying $130 which I thought was a good deal....then on eBay I found a Powerseller called Razorsharpknife who has the same knife for $105 buy it now price...and the fixed blade counterpart 1030 model for $80 BIN price. I like Kershaws and Schrades, and I'd stick with eBay for some good deals there. I think if you are patient and keeping an eye on things, you can do well.
Surprizingly, I find "good deals" at Pawn Shops too.

Oh hey, I bought my last Spyderco off of Razorsharpknife, they're pretty good to deal with. Good pricing.
