Your best handle material

I'm always interested in looking at unique handle materials, especially the old Westinghouse Micarta. Do any of you guys have a "stash" of your favorite or best material that you just can't bring yourself to use? Why can't you bring yourself to use it? Too rare? Took too long to find? Photos please!

I have a good sized block of lignum vitae I've had for 30+ years. I want to make scales for my Sage 1 and Cat.

I have a massive chunk of kamagong just waiting to be used for something. I just haven't found the right project(s) for it.

I have a big piece of tortoise shell I bought to use as handle material. Never have been able to bring myself to use it. Kind of like a rare bottle of wine for that "special occasion". No occasion ever seems special enough.
