Can you tell me a bit more about this handle shape? I remember Tapio Wirkkala's handles were essentially tapered diamond shapes, but I've never seen a round-to-diamond transition like this one. Thank you.

I can't really say. I'm guessing that using birch bark slices may have required a flowing transition from the round bolster cap to the triangle bolster. Unlike the original Wirkkala profile which is consistent from the butt to the bolster. The maker did call it a hybrid Wirkkala Style Tommi Puukko - thus you see some Wirkkala and some Tommi influence in the same knife
