Your birth year knife.

I think case was still using DECADES as their timestamp back then :) Tell me again why I'd want a 50 yo knife?

Happy New Year !!

This was taken in Yorkshire a couple of years ago. Perhaps you know him.

Typical Saturday night out in Leeds! :D

Well mine finally arrived today! A Case 7 dot 1973 6232. Wow! I can't believe the fit and finish of this knife. I have a 1 dot 1998 63032 that does not have the walk and talk of this knife. They don't make them like this anymore.
Sorry for the crappy cell pics but I had to share:)

Nice find Rob. I have a 6332 stockman from 1973 which is one of my favorite pocket knives.

I think that is going to be my next purchase. Then I'm going to start getting one for the birth year (01, 02, & 04) of my kids So I can give it to them when they are older.

I went for a more utilitarian and definitively marked specimen....

Like Frank said, it can be difficult to find a pre-70s knife marked with the year, outside of CASE....

I have a 77 Sodbuster 'Salesman Sample' with the sticker still on it.

If anyone would be interested in chipping in for this for Elliott, I could make an approach to the Royal Armouries in Leeds ;)

Very good find, in that Camillus MOD.

I need to find one of those (1961 is also my birth year). :)

Buck does engraving on a couple of their models, blade and bolster. I have purchased two of them to mark my grandsons birthdays which I will give to them when they are a bit older. Buck does a nice job and with any luck someday they will think of grandpa when they use them.
